In 2005, Hunter Douglas celebrated the 20th anniversary of Duette® honeycomb shades. We created a series of three mailers to emphasize key features that differentiate their product from its imitators — TruePleat™ construction, superior cleanability, and fine fabric finishes. Each included an interactive fabric sample and an incentive offer. The response rate was well above average. 38% of dealers sent in the card, nearly twice what was expected. A memorable twist: mayonnaise. The cleanability mailer, shown open above, included a sauce packet for a see-it-for-yourself cleanability test. |
