CoBank Lecture Hall

University of Colorado Denver Business School is supported by CoBank, a cooperative bank serving vital industries across rural America. They sponsored the main floor lecture hall and we were tasked with drawing students down the long, narrow hallway to the modern classroom. We created subtle silhouettes of corn, oil pump jacks, wheat, electric utility towers, and soybeans, then paired the simple visuals with quotes from famous economists. We also installed new lighting in the narrow corridor and commissioned an original oil painting depicting “from field to market” for the lecture hall. The result was a brighter, more dynamic corridor and graphics leading students to sense the history and relevance of economics.
